Internal Treatment
We stock oil based and water based treatments. Water based treatments have the advantage of drying quickly so you can fully treat a door within one day compared to oil based treatments which take at least two days. We stock oil based stains due to some door manufacturers specifying it to be used on their products.

Sadolin polyurethane varnish: a low odour, tough and long lasting for all interior woodwork; is touch dry in under an hour; is teflon based to help provide a maximum resistance to knocks, scratches and marking. Apply using a fully synthetic brush; hogs hair will clog. Do not use white spirit for wiping down; always use methylated spirits with a lint free cloth. Brushes are washed using water. Always stir right to the bottom of the tin; shaking isn't good enough. |

This provides a low lustre stain scratch resistant finish. Can be used inside and outside the home and it's ideal for most woods from furniture to wooden turnings. This product has to be applied at regular intervals, and should not be used on doors. |

Whether you want a brilliant high gloss or a subtle satin finish the vanish as a high performance, flexible formulation, to help resist cracking and peeling. We do not recommend yacht varnish in general as it is renowned for splitting and pealing off. We sell it, only because we are asked for it by customers, and would not use it ourselves. Always stir right to the bottom of the tin; shaking isn't good enough. |
