Above is our massive range of external doors. We carry some designs on stock and some we have to order. Ordering usually takes 1-2 weeks, but is strictly dependent on our suppliers stock level and so can take longer. Please note some are pictured finished, but they come unfinished. Engineered Doors

Most of our range of external doors are engineered. You will see this term used a lot on our doors pages. When a door is refered to as engineered it means that the core is formed from smaller solid blocks of timber and then is overveneered. This will give the appearance of a totally solid timber door, but will be much more stable than a solid door, which is very prone to twist.

Engineered doors are still solid throughout, but it is not one solid piece. You will find the vast majority of doors today are made in this way as they are much more stable when they are in the warmth of your house and especially when there are large temperature differences on either side. Eg into a conservatory.
