Garage doors

All our garage doors are made from high quality softwood. They come in pairs and are designed to be side hung. All the garage doors we supply are manufactured by us. We can manufacture one off size garage doors made to your required size, or we keep on stock garage doors that we mass produce to fixed sizes which makes them more cost effective.

Stock garage doors

These are constructed as Frame Ledged and Braced(FLB) doors and are 44mm thick. The aperture doors are supplied unglazed with no beading, which can be supplied at an extra cost on request. All of these doors are vac-vac treated. There are two different styles of garage doors: aperture and solid boarded as illustrated below.

Frame ledged and braced (FLB) doors

Ideal as a gate or utility door. Constructed from Scandinavian softwood, stub mortice and tenon jointed, 44mm thick frame, 27mm braces/ledges and 12mm matchboard for cladding. This product is vac-vac treated. All sizes are carried in stock for quick collection or dispatch. Subject to availability.

FLBs can be made into pairs, e.g., You can take two of the 78"x 30" and rebate them together to form a pair which would make the overall width of 78"x 59½". Rebating reduces the overall width by ½".

If you require garage doors that are not one of the above sizes we keep on stock we can manufacture it to your sizes and style. These are constructed the same as the above doors, with all the timber we use being vac-vac treated. The table below shows the prices for the different garage doors.

Treatment

Please treat the doors, so they are sealed on the faces, as soon as possible after receiving them. The reason for this is that the garage doors above are not an engineered product: they are made from solid softwood and as such are more prone to movement if not sealed. Try not to treat the edges as this may hinder fitting. Please see our treatment page.
