Suitable for most internal uses where moisture is not an issue - Wardrobes, Cabinets, Radiator Covers, Shelving,  Pelmets, Partition walls. Good smooth faces and egdes ideal for painting.

Veneered MDF

This range of MDF has a real wood veneer which can be finished in the same way as ordinary timber. We also sell 20mm iron on edging tape to suit each material.  £0.50 per metre.

Far Eastern Ply

External grade. Suitable for external and internal use. It has various uses, it has a water boil proof core so it can stand up to moisture as long as it is treated and not submerged in water. Can be painted or varnished.

Elliotis Ply (Otherwise known as CDX or Shuttering ply)

This is a softwood ply, external grade. Has a least one smooth face. It has a water boil proof core so it can stand up to moisture as long as it is treated. Used for cladding,  flat roofs, studded walls, shelving, base for shower trays etc...  Can be painted.

OSB (Oriented strand board)

Oriented strand board, also known as Sterling board, is an engineered wood product formed by layering strands (flakes) of wood in specific orientations. In appearance, it may have a rough and variegated surface with the individual strips (around 2.5 by 15 cm (approx. 1 in by 6 in) each) lying unevenly across each other.

Chipboard tongued and grooved

Moister resistant tongued and grooved chipbaord is specifically designed for flooring. The tongue and grooves interlock to provide a stable floor. The area that each board covers is usually 2400mm x 600mm. In certain building regulations 22mm is reguired but most of the time 18mm is suffient.

Marine Ply

Price for 8'x4' sheet

 Marine ply is suitable for situations of extreme wet.

 Only available in 8'x4' sheets. It is a common  misconception that only marine ply is suitable for outdoor  use which isn't true. It seems to be recommended in a lot  of literature for shower bases and things that don't need  marine ply without regard of cost. As you can see it is very  expensive and we only really sell it because people insist  on  having it. Far Eastern and elliotis ply are suitable for  99% of all situations.

Hardboard

Hardboard is a cheap material and mainly used for packaging and protecting  surfaces. It is sometimes used for cladding and is available prefinished in white. It  is prone to distorting in damp conditions. 3.5mm thick.

Cutting: We can cut the above sheet materials to various sizes. This service is chargeable. We cannot cut angles, curves or circles.  We only cut rectangles and squares. We have a minimum charge for cutting of £3 but this may increase with the amount of  labour involved.
